As a child growing up in wild Alaska, Lonner Holden sought refuge from the unrest of his post WWII family dynamics. The elements, seasons, animals, and landscapes of the far North shaped his imagination, character, lust for life, truth, senses and sensibilities. In nature he found acceptance, freedom to accept himself, and the primary elements of healthy relationships of honesty, trust, empathy, and sensory vulnerability. The mentorship of nature cultivated poet and healer in him to become a published author, Asian medicine practitioner, and innovator of nature-as-healer, mentor, and designer programs. Lonner’s clients have included many individuals as well as organizations such as Stanford University, California Institute of Integral Studies, Presidio University and Kaiser Permanente. Lonner authors his online blog Fast Wisdom, sharing insights on health, well-being and restoration of vitality and purpose through self-care, self-reflection, and strategic nature connection.
